Differential / Axle Identification

Over the years many different axles and differentials were offered on the Cherokee. These varied by year, by trim level, and by suspension package. You may also find that a previous owner of your vehicle has swapped the stock factory axle for a different model.

To help you accurately identify which differential is used on your vehicle consult the visual identification chart below.
